Research sketches for my art. The theme was Contempt. The sketches are some facial expression relating to Contempt.
Sorry for the bad quality, I took both pictures with my handphone's camera again. I had to edit it a little because it was too dark.
The sketches on the left side: I have cross-hatched two of the sketches. References were used for both of the sketches. I used Rachel Bilson and Mischa Barton's pictures. The colored sketch on the bottom is painted, but I didn't managed to capture the whole thing.
Sketches on the right side: The knife is is how I depict Contempt in Marriage. The other three sketches, two of them were self-potraits and one of them was a potrait of my sister. The colored one is painted, while the other three are shaded. I didn't managed to capture the bottom sketches completely, but oh well.
I took a total of three days or so to complete all of this, including a mind map of Contempt, and taking pictures as reference. Btw, if you notice there are some stickers on some of the sketches. They were supposed to be filled up with a brief description of the particular sketch. It wasn't filled up then. But I did managed to fill it up during my art lesson.
Look how far you've come, I'm so proud of you... Oh my, seriously.

Like life itself, photography is overdetermined in terms of meaning, even when it is meant to illustrate a point. We see but we dont necessarily understand. -Lyle Rexer

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Entonces, ¿Cuál es exactamente la diferencia entre arte y diseño?
